Timing screw guiding PET bottles through a high-speed packaging line

Precision change parts · Made-to-fit

Timing screws,
delivered in 1–2 weeks.

Drop-in feed screws for KRONES, SIDEL, KHS, SACMI, TETRA PAK, SIPA, SMI and GEA lines — from 600 BPM pharma fillers to 60,000 BPM high-speed PET. PET, glass, HDPE, aluminum — every container we've engineered for.

The difference

1–2 weeks. Not 8–16.

OEM aftermarket and Faber-class suppliers run quote-driven, catalogue-driven and slow. We replaced that loop with a real engineer, local manufacturing and a digital specs file — and a much smaller invoice at the end of it.

By the numbers

Built around uptime.

1–2 wks
Lead time, every quote

From CAD review to your loading dock. OEM aftermarket typically quotes 8–16 weeks.

70%
Less format-change downtime

Drop-in fit — no shimming, no re-timing, no recalibration when the screw set arrives.

20%
Longer service life on the line

UHMW-PE, Acetal-C and Nylatron formulations matched to your product and BPM target.

The component

What is a timing screw?

Also known as: infeed worm · feed screw · scroll feed

A precision-machined rotating shaft that meters, spaces, divides and presents containers as they move through the line. You'll find them at filler infeeds, capper indexing stations, labeller turrets, rinser entries and palletiser combiners — anywhere bottles need to be timed exactly.

Get the pitch profile wrong and the line jams at 24,000 BPM. Get it right and you stop noticing it's there — which is the whole point.

Pitch profiles

01

Constant pitch

Single or double-flight. Steady metering at filler infeeds, cappers and labellers.

02

Variable pitch

Accelerates or decelerates the container stream between machines — no slugging, no back-pressure.

03

Combining / dividing

Merges multi-lane flow into single file, or splits a single stream into multi-head filler infeeds.

Capability range

Slow pharma fillers to
high-speed PET. Every
container in between.

The timing principles are the same; the polymer, pitch and profile change with the container. We've engineered for every speed band and every container family on the market.

Each container has its own grip behaviour and friction profile. We match the polymer — UHMW-PE, Acetal-C, Nylatron — to the application.

Why AddPack

Four reasons your
line manager keeps calling.

01

1–2 week lead time, every quote

From CAD review to your loading dock in two weeks or less. OEM aftermarket typically quotes two months. That's not a typo.

02

Engineered to outperform, not just copy

We re-optimise the pitch profile, polymer and wear surfaces — same drop-in fit, longer service life on the line.

03

A fraction of OEM aftermarket cost

Same documented service life, local production, no OEM markup. We pass on what we save — line by line, screw by screw.

04

Drop-in fit, every reorder

Engineered to your machine's exact format. No re-shimming, no re-timing, no flying an engineer in. Specs held digitally for the next reorder.

Material science

Up to 80% less
CO₂ per screw —
engineered in.

AddPack UltraGlide — our proprietary polymer formulation — paired with additive-led manufacturing that uses only the material the geometry actually needs. Together they cut per-screw CO₂ by up to 80% versus conventionally machined OEM-equivalent timing screws.

For a large screw set, that's around 578 kg of CO₂ saved per reorder — and that's only material and manufacturing. It doesn't count the container ships skipped by producing locally, or the second set you don't have to buy because UltraGlide outlasts conventional polymers on the line.

Methodology and per-line factor sheet available on request.

Process

Three steps,
no procurement labyrinth.

Step 01

Submit

A CAD file, a worn sample, a clear photo, or the OEM machine + format. Whatever you have on hand.

Step 02

Engineering review

Our engineers measure, model and re-optimise the pitch profile. Quote in your inbox inside 48 hours.

Step 03

Delivered in 1–2 weeks

Manufactured locally, shipped fast, drop-in fit. Installed during your next short stop — not a full format change.
